Give the ‘Gram Some Love

Are you looking for cute places around campus to show off your spring outfits? Perhaps you’re graduating, or maybe this is your first spring in Berkeley. Look no further! After a rainy and biting winter, springtime in Berkeley is when everything seems to come back to life, just in time for submerging yourself in Main Stacks for RRR and finals week. When you can get outside, here are a few places worth visiting and capturing.

The Glade

With options like picnicking with Doe Library in the background or enjoying a book under the shade of the trees, Memorial Glade makes for the perfect spot for nonchalant candids.

Cherry Blossoms

If you have the patience, wait for a bit of wind. The gust will send flower petals swirling all around you—so snap a shot!

UC Botanical Garden

If you’re into flora and fauna, take the campus shuttle to the UC Berkeley Botanical Garden and strike a pose with some flowers in bloom. If you would like a preview to your trip, consider watching this reel on the experience of some fellow students visiting the gardens.

Valley Life Sciences Building (VLSB)

The evergreens surrounding VLSB are a sight to behold in the springtime! While they stay green, the difference in color among the leaves is fascinating. Not to mention, the bloom of the berries surrounding Strawberry Creek just below is another perk of this location!

Strawberry Creek

The creek that surrounds our campus is particularly beautiful at this time of year. Coupled with forested surroundings and natural light, the creek serves as a lovely spot for photos.

Go Bears, go out—picnic, snap some photos, and enjoy the springtime weather!
